Well worth a poke. I have only watched day 1 of testing, but the McLaren (powered by Merc incidentially) looks the most hooked up. The mercedes team car looks like it cannot handle the power going down and I think this might just shorten over the early part of the season

This is possibly one of the best bets for 2021 for me. I will explain why. Andy has been off the boil, there has been some turmoil in his family life (not well publicised - but out there if you look for it). He has now got that sorted and his head back in the game so to speak. there was some impressive stats suggesting a good chance next year this will go close. He only played in 19 events last year (his lowest since when he turned pro in 2011) of which 18 were points scoring events. However he still managed to get to 12th in the R2D this year which was helped by some very solid end of season form Of those 19 events he finished inside the top 10 on 7 occasions. Of those 7 he won, came second and third. What this tells us, if he played as many as he usually does (avg 25 events per season) and maintained that form he would have been very very close come the end of the season. One to follow carefully in 2021

This is a bit of a price based punt for me. It comes with a bit of a risk too but I'll explain why. 'Bez' has been on the ET for many a season now but 2020 was his breakthrough season. He won 3 times in 2020 and has played well when not wininng this has seen him rise 50 places in the world to No.34 as the year ends (written 31/12). with that stella form on the ET , there comes a risk now, he will look to compete in the more lucrative PGA Tour events and not acru points in the R2D. However there are enough events based in and around his home land of South Africa that if playing well in those could see him in contention which I have no doubt will influence his decisions later in the season, 40/1 looks over priced but comes with a couple of risks.

I am going to snaffle the 50's early on. Sami is someone who I have made some money on during 2020 as he competed in his first full European Tour Season. It was a season that has been full of promise, with a Win in Oman and a series of other top 10 and 20 finishes through the season. He is still looking to establish himself on the tour fully so I do expect him to play most weeks which will help he score the points to be in contention at the end of the season. Big Price, Big Player, Big Potential

it was a toss up between Tom and Wilco Nienarber but I have plumped for Tom. This decision was based more this season on a couple of bits. Firstly, he doesn't miss many cuts. In 2020 he missed 1 cut from 20 events and the season before 3 cuts from 28. So he regularly plays well enough to score some form of points in the R2D. Some will say that he doesn't quite get it done when in contention and I cannot disagree with that the two events in 2020 where he ended up 2nd (The Celtic Classic and Hero Open) he should have possibly won. So yes he does need to learn to get his head in front early doors I will agree, however his frequent points scoring and MC mean he should give us a good run for the triple figure price on offer irrelevant of what happens
