With odds of 33/1 from the bookmakers, West Wind Blows looks like a good candidate for a small EW bet. William Buiwick will be in the saddle, and in his last four races, which were prestigious events with a strong field, West Wind Blows has finished second

Satono Reve finished second at Ascot last year; despite being the favourite, he was pipped at the post in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes. This year, he has every chance of taking his revenge, as he remains in good form and his trainer has most likely taken all the finer points of preparation for such a race into account. Incidentally, Ryan Moore will be in the saddle instead of J. Moreira

Catullus represents Charlie Appleby’s stable. This trainer has won this race twice in recent years, in 2021 and 2022. The successful jockey William Buick will be in the saddle today. Catullus has two wins to his name. It is worth noting his victory in his most recent race prior to today’s start. In the 7f race at Goodwood on 23 May, he won convincingly, beating his nearest rival by more than three lengths. The chances of victory are very real.

Colori Forever is entered by Marco Botti’s stable. He has performed consistently in his previous races and, notably, has improved with each outing. His victory in the C&D race on 8 May places him among the leading contenders for success

Binhareer is trained by William Haggas. He has a good pedigree, with Dark Angel as his sire. Last season, he managed to win two major 6f races at Ayr and York. He began this season with a second-place finish out of 22 runners in a 6f race at York on 13 May. Quite a promising record for a contender for victory. Tom Marquand, who has already won two races over a large field at this festival, will be in the saddle
