Theme – King Arthur
The tales of King Arthur have been spellbinding people since the 1400s. The setting for this game is as magical as you’d expect with a large castle and a meandering river, running through a bewitching forest. It has an Autumnal feel with red and orange leaves on the tree which are starting to twirl to the forest floor.
The reels cover a range of hues and they show an assortment of Arthurian characters. The special symbols In order of value from highest are Sir Gawain, Morgana, King Arthur & Guinevere. The standard reel symbols of A, K,Q, J & T have a rune stone design in various colours.
The symbols include the Wild Multiplier Symbol plus a Scatter Symbol which is represented by The Green Knight himself.
Reels

RTP
Return to player or RTP as it’s commonly known is an acronym used on slot sites. It’s a percentage figure forecasting what percentage of stakes will be returned to players over the long term. It’s usually between 94%-96%, and the Return of the Green Knight is slightly above average at 96.27%.
Play n’GO, like many game providers uses this RTP as a default value. Therefore, you’ll find different RTP rates across various sites. We’ve saved you some time and identified a few different percentages at some of the top UK online casinos and added them to the table below.
It’s worth mentioning that there are many factors to think about when deciding where to play. There are other points such as payment options, customer support and welcome bonuses and deals. You should take a look at our casino reviews as we look at these aspects plus many more.

Stake Range
There is a wide bet range which should suit most players' pockets that starts at £0.10 and goes right up to £100.
Max Win
You’ll discover an impressive 40,000x your stake if you win the max win amount when playing the Return of the Green Knight game.
Wild Shape
During a spin, a random Wild Multiplier can activate and apply to all of your Wilds. If one or more Wild Multipliers substitute for another symbol in a winning combination, the payline will be multiplied by the value shown on the Wild Multiplier, ranging from x2 to x100.
Free Spins
You can trigger 2 Free Spins rounds during the Return of the Green Knight game. Firstly, there is the Mighty Free Spins. Landing 3 or more Scatter Symbols gets you entry into this round and you’ll receive 5 Free Spins. The multiplier value increases with each Free Spin – starting at x2 and going right up to x100 on the fifth spin. If 2 Scatters make a skirmish during the round you’ll enter the next Free Spins round which is titled Shield Spins.
If you trigger Shield Spins during the Mighty Free Spins the round is paused to allow you to play Shield Spins. During the Shield Spins round, the current Wild Multiplier value is locked in for all 5 spins so they remain sticky. Any new Wilds that appear during this time are also locked in place for the rest of the round.
Jackpot
Like most modern-day slot games, the Return of the Green Knight game doesn't have a jackpot element. If jackpot games are your thing you should check out our page with the best jackpot slot games.
Play Experience & First Impressions
The Return of the Green Knight is a charming game which uses the popular King Arthur theme. Multipliers are the focal point of the game and they go up to a mega x100. The Free Spins have been split into 2 rounds which works well, during these rounds you go further into the forest which looks darker and more supernatural. During the Free Spins round, I enjoyed watching the multiplier shields increase for each round in the bar at the top of the screen all the way to 100x. It’s a clear message for anyone new to the game and was an exciting element. During the Shield Spins when the Wilds trigger, they remain sticky for the entire bonus round which is pretty nifty.
