Collect feature

The aim is to journey through Westeros, unlocking all new Collect symbols along the way. Each on with its own modifier, conquer all 4 houses to unlock the Seven Kingdoms.

If a Longclaw symbol lands with any Collect symbol, a large sword drops down over the reel, before spinning and landing on either a Cash Prize (worth 5-1,000 x bet or a fixed jackpot up to 2,500 x bet) or the Super Bonus (this is active once the map is available). If you land on ‘Super Bonus’, you will be taken directly to the end of the map, awarding any extra upgrades accumulated at each stage.

• The Night’s Watch Collect: When you initially fire up the game, the Night’s Watch Collect symbol is active on reels 1 and 6. When a Cash Prize symbol lands on reels 1-6 with a Collect symbol landing on reels 1 and/or 6, the Collect feature is triggered. The Collect symbol expands to cover the reel entirely, collecting the cash values from the Cash Prize symbols.
• House Stark Collect: This is unlocked by landing a standard/The Night’s Watch Collect win. With all Cash Prize and Collect symbols locking in place, all other symbols shatter and disappear, with new symbols landing to fill the spaces. This continues until no new Cash Prize or Collect symbols land.
• House Baratheon Collect: This is unlocked by achieving a House Stark Collect win. Any reels where Cash Prizes are present will either nudge to fill the entire reel with Cash Prizes. There is also a chance you may trigger a respin that adds to the number of Cash Prize symbols.
• House Lannister Collect: This is unlocked when you land a House Baratheon Collect win. All Cash Prizes get a bo0st, up to 5 x your total bet, before being collected. Additional Cash Prize symbols can also land, which may have also been boosted.
• House Targaryen Collect: Unlocked when you land a House Lannister Collect win, Cash Prize symbols are collected before the non-Collect reels respin. Repeating up to 5 times, it gives you the chance to land more Cash Prize symbols.

Dragons Fire Modifiers

Any Cash Prize symbols not collected will be added to the chest. With the chest randomly triggering, it will unleashing 1 of 5 Dragon Fire Modifiers. Details are as follows:

• Bonus Blaze: only available in the base game, extra Iron Throne Bonus Scatters are added to the reels.
• Dragon Fire: adds high-value symbols (including Wilds) or Cash Prize symbols to the reels for a guaranteed win.
• Dragon Inferno: guarantees a full reel of Cash Prizes on 1 or more reels (from reels 2-5).
• Dragon Blast: changes the reels to a new set of symbol, guaranteeing a win in the process.
• Dragon Fury: only available in the base game, Cash Prize symbols are added to the reels before being collected.

Iron Throne Spins

The Iron Throne Spins feature is triggered by landing 3 or more Iron Throne Bonus Scatters anywhere during a base game spin. With 10 free spins awarded, all unlocked Collects remain active.

When a Collect symbol lands, all values of Cash Prize symbols are awarded. Accumulating Collect symbols will reward you with extra free spins and Collect Multipliers:

Seven Kingdoms Map

If you achieve a House Targaryen Collect win, you will unlock the Seven Kingdoms Map. 2 Bonus Symbols on reels 1-5 that do not trigger the Iron Throne Spins feature moves you along the map, awarding upgrades that are guaranteed to be active when you do trigger the Iron Throne Spins feature. There are a maximum of 7 upgrades to be won from the Seven Kingdoms Map, including:

• Dragon Storm: increases your chance of triggering modifiers.
• Banners of War: All Collect symbols always expand.
• Iron Throne Spins: Up to 5 extra free spins will be added to your tally.

Game of Thrones encapsulates the iconic TV series with a feature-led journey through Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms for up to 17,000 x bet max wins.

When I heard Blueprint Gaming was creating the Game of Thrones slot, I was very excited. Guaranteeing lots of bonus features (Blueprint always do this with the branded games), I must state I’m a huge fan of the television series which does clearly influence my review.

I love how immersive it is both visually and audially with the Iron Throne in the backdrop and the use of the official soundtrack. It is also refreshing to see the use of dragons throughout the game: in the Dragon Inferno modifier, you’ll see the dragon spray the reels in fire (awarding full reels of Cash Prizes on 1 or more reels).

Onto the gameplay: as mentioned, there is plenty of variety. The aim is to journey through Westeros, unlocking new Collect symbols/features along the way. Each with its own modifier, you beneft from reels of Cash Prize symbols, additional chances to land Cash Prize symbols, nudging reels for entire reels of Cash Prizes and respinning reels.

If you manage to get a House Targaryen Collect win, you will unlock the Seven Kingdoms Map. The Seven Kingdoms map unlocks upgrades in the Iron Throne Spins feature, including extra free spins, a higher chance of landing modifiers, expanding Collect symbols and higher-value Cash Prize symbols.

In the Iron Throne Spins feature, your aim is to accumulate Collect symbols as these reward you with more free spins and Collect Multipliers up to 10x. If you get reach the end of the Seven Kingdoms map, you’ll play the Iron Throne Super Bonus: here, only Cash Prize and Collect symbols appear on the reels for greater win potential.

With 17,000 x bet max wins, Game of Thrones can certainly pack a punch. Truth be told, it’s a decent max win number but it’s the entertainment value which makes this game a playable one.

The gameplay features in plenty of Blueprint Gaming titles but how can you compete with dragons, iconic characters and an inspiring soundtrack? Maybe I’m showing my bias to the TV series but it’s about a feeling you get when you play slots.

With Game of Thrones I get excited instantly and this continues as I work my way through the bonus features and Seven Kingdoms map. In summary, a superb branded slot that captures the essence of the TV series.
