Slot Details
The Beast Gains slot has 6 reels, 4 rows and 4,096 ways to win. A winning combination is formed when 3 or more matching symbols appear on consecutive reels, from left to right and starting from the leftmost reel. Only the highest payout per way to win is awarded.

With a jungle/animal theme, the Beast Gains slot follows on from Net Gains and Beast Mode. This action-packed game takes you on a wild and comical jungle cruise with Shark, Croc, Rhino and Lion.
When you fire up the game, you’ll notice the backdrop moving, signifying your gentle cruise down a jungle river. With Shark, Croc, Rhino and Lion aboard the vessel, the soundtrack has an Aztec feel. The game is colourful and light-hearted, like its predecessors.
On the reels, you will come across Aztec-style A, K, Q, J and 10 royals. The higher-value symbols include shark, rhino, croc and lion face masks as well as the lion: the lion is the best paying symbol, awarding 25 x your total bet for 6 in combination.
There is a Gold Monkey Skull Wild symbol that substitutes for all paying symbols when part of a winning combination. The other symbol of note is the Bonus Scatter, which is key to triggering the free spins.

Only the leftmost bonus feature on the Feature Trail will trigger (when landing in its final position). With some features exclusive to particular free spins modes, the bonus features in the base game include:
- Mystery Symbol: Adds 3 to 6 Mystery symbols on the reels, which reveal the same randomly chosen symbol.
- Mystery Bomb: 1 Mystery Bomb is added to the reels. Revealing a symbol, winning symbols and other symbols that are not a Mystery symbol will be removed from play.
- Mystery Rainbow: Adds a Mystery Rainbow to the reels, which reveals a symbol and transforms itself and all instances into Mystery symbols.
- Explosive Chest: An Explosive Chest is added to the reels. This removes all symbols from the reels.
- Additional Wild: Adds 1 to 5 wild symbols to the reels.
Free Spins
The free spins are played when you land 3, 4 or 5 Bonus Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. With 6, 8 or 10 free spins awarded (respectively), you then choose from 3 free spins modes.
In all 3 modes, Feature Trail features are persistent between free spins, with the Feature Trail not resetting after every free spin. There is an Extra Spins feature which awards 1 or 2 extra free spins during any of the free spins modes.
Once you’ve chosen the mode, a gamble option is available: this allows you to upgrade your chosen mode up to 2 times (which enhances your winning potential). It’s a straight 50/50 gamble.
Mystery Symbols Free Spins
Beginning with a random number of Mystery symbols on the reels, Mystery symbols are persistent throughout the feature, remaining on the reels and dropping to the lowest available position after every cascade. Not appearing on reel 1, a maximum of 4 Mystery Symbols per reel can land.
Multiplier Ladder Free Spins
With each free spins level beginning with a different initial multiplier value, you’ll benefit from higher starting multipliers with the enhanced levels (i.e. triggering with 4 or 5 Bonus Scatters).

Coin Collection Free Spins
During the Coin Collection free spins, Coin and Collector symbols can appear on any reel. However, a Collector cannot appear on the reels if one appears on the current free spin or cascade, or if a Persistent Collector has appeared earlier. When a Collector appears, it can randomly transform into a Persistent Collector.
If a Collector, Persistent Collector or Explosive Chest appear on the reels, all Coins are destroyed and collected, with their values added to the Coin stash. If no Collector is present but 4 or more Coins are, they are also collected and added to the meter.
If a Collector or Persistent Collector lands later on the same free spin, the stored Coin values are won. With the Collector resetting after each free spin, landing a Collector will see all stored Coin values awarded. The Persistent Collector works the same but collects on every free spin and grants 2 extra free spins. Finally, Collectors won’t appear if a Persistent Collector has landed.
On the Feature Trail, look out for the Coin Rain feature as 4 to 10 Coins are added to the reels. The Level Up feature can also appear: this increases the Coin level and awards 1 extra free spin.

With Relax Gaming adding a Feature Trail, the base game can result in 3 types of Mystery symbols, an Explosive Chest or extra wilds. Yes, pretty standard.
However, the action ramps up in the 3 free spins modes where you choose from a multiplier ladder, mystery symbols or coin collections. With Mystery symbols being persistent in the Mystery Symbols free spins, the Multiplier Ladder free spins benefits from a Multiplier Boost symbol which can help you progressive along the Multiplier Ladder in the hope of benefitting from a multiplier that can reach 1000x.
The Coin Collection free spins has the most Feature Trail symbols with Collector and Persistent Collector symbols. I like the Level Up feature as this increases the value of the Coins: the Coin Rain feature can see up to 10 Coins added to the reels. That said, I found the Multiplier Ladder free spins to be the most lucrative of the 3 options, due to the possibility of a 1000x multiplier.
With 25,000 x bet max wins, Beast Gains shares the same max win potential as Beast Mode but is significantly higher than the 15,000 x bet max in Net Gains. All 3 games though offer plenty of bonus features and 3 free spins modes. Triggering the free spins with 4 or 5 Bonus Scatters make a significant difference though.
In summary, Beast Gains offers similar extras to its predecessors but with a new Feature Trail and more modifiers in the free spins modes. All in all, another good slot game from Relax Gaming.
