CM Punk's return to the WWE has already caused shockwaves in the company with stars such as Seth Rollins seen reacting angrily to his return on Saturday night.
WWE's chief content officer Triple H told reporters after the event that Punk's return was last minute after week's of speculation that it could be on the cards after he left AEW.
"It didn't start to come to fruition until everybody stopped thinking it was going to happen, and then all of a sudden it was happening," Triple H told reporters.
