Odds given on PIF and ATP investing in Tennis together before end of the year

Betting odds are now available around Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) partnering with the ATP at some point before the end of the year.

ATP chairman Andrea Gaudenzi told the Financial Times that he had been in contact with the PIF around a potential partnership.

With this news, bookmakers are now offering betting odds around the partnership happening with odds of 8/13 that it does happen in 2023.

This would bring a massive amount of money to the sport and see more events take place in Saudi Arabia in what would be a massive move for Tennis.

We may well see similar to what has happened with the Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour though with some players choosing to shun the event.

6/5 odds given that no joint investment is agreed

The odds that it doesn't get agreed are just 6/5 which shows that it's not a foregone conclusion that we'll see a Saudi-backed takeover of Tennis.

Gaudenzi has said that any sort of PIF deal would have to “stick to respecting the history of the sport and the product."

The latest betting odds say there's a 45% chance that the deal doesn't get done this year and ATP Tennis continues to go on as it has been.

US Open is next major event to take place

The next major Tennis tournament to take place is the US Open at the end of August as reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz looks to win it again.

Alcaraz won the US Open last year for his first major title and he now goes into this year's tournament having just won Wimbledon.

US Open tips will start to go up on OLBG as we get close to the start of the event in which starts on Monday August 28.
