Dillian Whyte 5/4 favourite to fight Tyson Fury next up
Dillian Whyte has been waiting nearly 2 years to get his title shot for the WBC belt after a mixture of COVID and rematch clauses for title fights meaning that there's just not been an opportunity for Whyte to fight for the title.
Now that the Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder trilogy has been completed it sets aside a path for Whyte to fight Fury and bookmakers give odds of 5/4 for that to happen next.
Dillian Whyte however has a tricky fight coming up against Otto Wallin on the 30th October and this could cause problems in Whyte's case to fight for the title.
Otto Wallin has been one of only a few fighters to cause Tyson Fury big problems and in their fight back in 2019, Wallin nearly stopped Fury through a cut above Fury's eye.
The 'Gypsy King' however was allowed to continue and see out a points decision victory.
Frank Warren, Tyson Fury's promoter, has stated that he thinks that Whyte should cancel his fight against Wallin so he's guaranteed to fight Fury, but that's not something that Dillian Whyte will even consider as a fighter.
Fury v Joshua mega fight now 6/1 to happen next after Joshua's loss to Usyk
Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury looked set to fight each other this year, but the Court of Arbitration for sport decided that a third fight between Fury and Deontay Wilder had to happen through contractual reasons.
This meant that Joshua therefore had to fight Oleksander Usyk, who had a mandatory from his time as Cruiserweight World Champion.
Although many thought that Joshua would win, and of course there were pundits and fans alike supporting Usyk too, it was the Ukrainian who won on points in their fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn stated during last Saturday's Matchroom card in Liverpool that the Joshua v Usyk rematch has been ordered, meaning that if Fury wants to fight in the first half of 2022 at least then it won't be against either man.
Of course everyone wants to see a unification fight between Fury and either one of these fighters, but that may not be the case especially if Joshua wins the rematch.
The issue here is with rematch clauses and you feel that Usyk will put one in if he was to lose to Joshua and the record between the two goes to 1-1, meaning a deciding trilogy fight could then come in the second part of next year.
The Joshua v Usyk fight was an intriguing contest:
Deontay Wilder 10/1 to get a 4th fight with Tyson Fury next
The Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury third fight was one of the most entertaining heavyweight fights in recent years, with both fighters hitting the deck at least twice.
Fury however showed his quality and ended up knocking out Wilder in the 11th round to end the trilogy once and for all.
Realistically, no one really wants to see a fourth fight between the pair with the trilogy all but proving that Tyson Fury would beat Wilder 99 times out of 100.
Wilder however will of course be asking for another rematch you feel and at odds of 10/1 if Tyson Fury thinks he can have another easy fight and easy pay day then he could fight Wilder once more.
PPV and ticket-wise though you feel that another fight between the pair just wouldn't do good numbers at all.
