Businessman Elon Musk is now 7/1 to buy social media platform TikTok with bookmakers offering odds on whether there will be a potential takeover of the service in the next few months.
Earlier this year the Biden administration was pushing to ban TikTok with Biden saying that they wanted TikTok's Chinese owners to sell the app or else the ban would go through.
TikTok themselves have said that they will spend $1.2b in making three data centres to store European data locally and this may be the start of better data regulations for the company.
Bookies though are still offering odds on the company's sale with this specific market suggesting a 7/1 chance of Elon Musk buying the company after his purchase of Twitter last year.

The odds though are still as short as 2/7 that they don't sell to an American company with those betting odds saying that there's a 77% chance that it stays under the Chinese ownership.
