Could Tiger Woods come back at The Masters?
The news of Tiger Woods returning to Golf always seems to crop up before every major tournament in the sport and it's no different before this year's Masters event.
The main difference this time is that Tiger has openly flirted with the idea and now he's stated that there's a chance he plays this year.
Despite not featuring in a ranked event in nearly 18 months, Woods is a 50/1 shot to win The Masters according to bookmakers.
Woods only poured fuel onto the bonfire of rumours of a return by having a practice round at Augusta last Tuesday.

Woods has dropped to rank no. 944
Tiger Woods hasn't appeared at an official world ranking Golf event since November 2020 and that has seen him slide down the rankings.
The iconic golfer has been unable to appear on the PGA Tour since suffering serious injury in a car crash in February last year.
The condition of Woods was kept under wraps throughout 2021 with rumours consistently pointing to him never playing the sport again.
Woods was initially wheelchair bound and he spent months recuperating at home after the accident.
Tiger Woods is set to have a press conference on Tuesday to confirm his intentions going into the big event next weekend.
Jon Rahm is 11/1 favourite to win this year's Masters
Spaniard Jon Rahm is 11/1 favourite to win this year's Masters at Augusta, with the World Number 1 winning the US Open last year.
Since then he's missed two cuts in big events and finished 55th at the Players Championship, so form wise he may not be looking up for it this weekend.
Some big names feature at the top of the market for the event, with bookmakers paying big places usually on these big majors.
Masters 2022 WInner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Jon Rahm | 11/1 | 8.3% |
Justin Thomas | 14/1 | 6.7% |
Cameron Smith | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Scottie Scheffler | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Dustin Johnson | 16/1 | 5.9% |
Rory McIlroy | 18/1 | 5.3% |
Rory McIlroy seems to always feature at the top of these markets for the big events despite having failed to win a major since 2014.
Second favourite Justin Thomas finished 4th at the 2020 Masters and a similar performance this weekend could see him there or thereabouts at the end.
