- Madonna Biopic in Casting Stage with a host of front runners
- Bookmakers make Julia Graner of Ozark fame the favourite to play the Pop Icon
- Florence Pugh from Oxford in the UK is third in the betting with a 2/1 chance of landing the role
- Betting sites are taking bets on Madonna's own daughter, Lourdes, Filling the spot at 12/1
One of the hottest jobs in Hollywood right now, is to land the lead actress role in the up-coming Madonna biopic based around the stars life, time and tribulations, and we could have a British actress taking on the role after Florence Pugh has reached the 'Madonna bootcamp' shortlist.
It is the job of casting director Carmen Cuba to make the final choice although it is believed that Madonna herself will be having some say and has already made noises around the incredibly talented Julia Garner (Ozark & Inventing Anna)
The current betting has Garner as favourite with Sydney Sweeney (Everything sucks! & Once upon a time in Hollywood) as the bookmakers second choice, but right there in the mix, is Brit Florence Pugh (Fighting with my Family & Little Women) to play the iconic pop star who is now in her 60s

Also in the betting is Madonna's own daughter Lourdes Leon although she is represented with just a 7% chance at odds of 12/1
The casting has taken on a BootCamp as the casting has been taking place for months with a 'gruelling' schedule of choreography, at times with Madonna herself, as well as singing sessions.
Madonna is hugely involved in the process to make the end product as genuine as possible and to have at least some say on who will portray her in the production that has yet to have the final go-ahead. Although Universal are backing the project which is a great sign.
