Casey Stoney leads the way to be the next Arsenal Women's manager according to latest odds

Betting odds are now looked at by OLBG on the next Arsenal Women's manager with the role now available following the resignation of Jonas Eidevall on Tuesday.

Casey Stoney is the current favourite to take over the Arsenal Women's side with the former Arsenal player without a role since leaving San Diego Wave back in June.

The door seems open for Stoney to step into the manager's role at the club she once played for although that may not be the case according to some reports.

BBC's senior women’s football reporter Emma Sanders said that as it stands Stoney is not in the running but the odds suggest that it all could change.

Jonas Eidevall resigned as manager on Tuesday

Arsenal's 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea in the WSL on Sunday was ultimately the final nail in the coffin for Eidevall's job with that result seeing them five points off top.

Eidevall was under intense pressure following that defeat and decided to step down from his role after the poor start which included a 5-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Now Eidevall's assistant Renée Slegers will take interim charge of Arsenal as the Gunners look to take time in getting a suitable replacement for the manager next.
