Luton Town are now 7/2 to not be relegated this season after tough start

Luton Town's tough start to the season continued on Tuesday night as they were shockingly knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Exeter City.

The only positive they can take from that game is that it leaves them with more time to focus on staying up in the Premier League this season after a tough start since being promoted.

Luton currently sit in 18th spot in the Premier League table with a 1-1 draw against Wolves last weekend seeing them earn their first point of the season after 5 games.

This week though is a massive one for the club with games against Everton and Burnley already looking like 6 pointers for a tough period of the season and Bet365 have Luton at 7/2 to stay up this season.

Luton Town Betting Specials 23/24 Odds Probability
To be relegated from the Premier League 1/6 85.7%
To not be relegated from the Premier League 7/2 22.2%

What the expert says..
Luton Town's tough start to the season has now seen bookmakers put them out to 7/2 to NOT be relegated from the Premier League with the implied probability now at 22% for them to stay up!

Bookies previously offered odds of 50/1 for the Hatters to beat Derby County's worst points tally

The start of the season saw various special markets offered around Luton Town's season with Ladbrokes offering odds of 50/1 that they 'beat' Derby County's worst points tally.

Derby recorded just 11 points in the 2007-08 Premier League season to officially be known as the worst ever Premier League team and that record has stayed that way ever since.

Luton will be hoping to avoid that record though and a big few games before the international break may see a clearer picture of where the team are at this campaign.

Luton are 1/6 to be relegated from the Premier League this season

Betting remains available on who will be relegated from the Premier League this season and Luton are the shortest price in the market at 1/6 to go down.

The market has changed in the past week after the latest round of fixtures with Sheffield United moving to just 1/5 after their heavy 8-0 loss to Newcastle last Sunday.

Burnley wrap up the top three of the betting to be relegated at the end of the season and it may well be that we see all three of last season's promoted teams go straight back down.

Premier League Relegation 23/24 Odds Probability
Luton Town 1/6 85.7%
Sheffield United 1/5 83.3%
Burnley
2/1 33.3%
Everton
9/4 30.8%
Bournemouth
5/2 28.6%
Wolves 11/4 26.7%
