Joao Cancelo is now just 11/10 to join Barcelona this summer with reports that a deal could happen

Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo is now to 11/10 to join Barcelona this summer with bookies offering odds on the transfer market.

Cancelo was sent out on loan in the second half of last season after reports of a falling out with manager Pep Guardiola and it looks like there will be no return for the player.

Guardiola's former club are interested in signing Cancelo this summer according to recent reports from talkSPORT which say Xavi and Barcelona are looking at the player.

Barcelona are set to sell Ousmane Dembele to PSG this summer and they will likely use the funds made from that transfer to sign Joao Cancelo.

The latest odds from Paddy Power suggest that there is a 47% chance that Cancelo moves to Barcelona at some point in the next month.

Arsenal are second favourites and have been linked with Cancelo before

Arsenal are 3/1 to sign Joao Cancelo this summer and it's a move that has been linked in the past, but Guardiola may not want to strengthen one of their rivals again.

City sold Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko to the Gunners last season and in doing so helped their title challenge and they won't want to do so this season.

Reports from footballtransfers back in June said that talks were progressing between Arsenal and City for Cancelo but that has since cooled.

Pep Guardiola's men are odds-on to win the league this season at 8/11 and it's their title rivals from last season in Arsenal that are second favourites to win it this year.
