Deadpool and Wolverine is now 6/5 to be the Highest Grossing Film worldwide in 2024 after it was released on Friday

The third movie in the Deadpool franchise, Deadpool and Wolverine, was released on Friday and it has already become the 6th Highest Grossing Film of the year so far just three days after release.

Betting sites are now offering odds on the movie topping the overall charts by the end of the year and becoming the Highest Grossing Movie of 2024 with the film still $1.1 billion behind overall leader Inside Out 2 so far.

Deadpool and Wolverine has made $438m so far at the Box Office worldwide after a successful opening weekend and it'll now be looking to kick on and challenge Inside Out 2 for the top spot.

Paddy Power's latest betting odds suggests a 45.5% implied probability that Deadpool and Wolverine finishes in the top spot by the end of the year with bookmakers currently putting it at 6/5 in the market.

Deadpool and Wolverine now moves into odds on at 6/5 in the betting market to sit at the top of the Box Office at the end of 2024 with hype around the latest movie in the franchise here after it was released last Friday. It has massive numbers to catch up with though with Inside Out 2 becoming the biggest animated film of all-time earlier this week!

Inside Out 2 remains the odds-on favourite to top the list with the animated movie topping the charts so far

Inside Out 2 has by far been the most successful film of the year so far with more than double the amount made of the second place movie Dune: Part Two.

Earlier this week, Inside Out 2 became the highest grossing animated film of all-time and hit 12th in the all-time list of Box Office movies.

The movie surpassed Frozen 2 as the biggest animated movie there has been earlier this week and it still looks to be climbing as it remains in cinemas.

So far in 2024 we've seen a number of big releases with three of the top five movies released so far in terms of Box Office numbers animated sequels of successful previous releases.

As we said earlier, Inside Out 2 dominates the Worldwide Box Office so far this year but Despicable Me 4 and Kung Fu Panda 4 also feature in the charts at 3rd and 5th respectively.

9 of the Top 10 are sequel movies with The Garfield Movie the only one that is a standalone film, although we've seen plenty of Garfield movies in the past.
