Bookmakers make Lukaku favourite to finish top scorer

Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is currently 11/4 favourite to win the Golden Boot this season after starting off his return at the Blues with a goal in their 2-0 win v Arsenal.

Lukaku finished second behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the Serie A Golden Boot last season with 24 goals and that tally would have won the Premier League's version for the last 5 seasons with Kane winning it last season with 23.

Player Odds Probability
Romelu Lukaku 11/4 26.7%
Mo Salah 5/1 16.7%
Harry Kane 6/1 14.3%
Bruno Fernandes 12/1 7.7%
Dominic Calvert-Lewin 20/1 4.8%

Kane is 10/1 to win the PFA Player of the Year award this season

Harry Kane is third favourite with bookmakers to win the PFA Player of the Year award this season, with Bruno Fernandes and Kevin De Bruyne both at 8/1 in the betting.

With these odds, bookmakers are giving Kane a 9.1% chance of winning the award this season, with pundits and fans alike suggesting that the forward should have won it last year after winning both the Golden Boot and the Playmaker of the Season award for most assists.

Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne has won the PFA POTY award for the last two seasons in a row and bookmakers give him an 11% chance of making that three in a row this year.

The playmaker is usually there or thereabouts in the assists table for the Premier League, topping it in two of the last four seasons, so this may give him a bigger shout for that award too.
