Bookies give odds of 4/1 that Elon Musk will sell Twitter at some point this year
2023 sees a new year of betting specials around business and bookies are giving odds of 4/1 that Elon Musk will sell Twitter at some point this year.
Musk acquired the social media company in October 2022 for $44 billion after originally backing out from his April offer.
The takeover has since seemingly been a big headache for Musk and Star Sports are already giving odds of 4/1 for him to sell it on in 2023.
This gives a 20% chance of that happening with Musk potentially wanting to cut his losses already after constant backlash of his handling of the company.
Odds given on Musk’s next company purchased with NFL franchise the 7/2 favourite
Elon Musk could be on the lookout for his next investment and the odds suggest that it will be an NFL franchise that he decides to purchase next.
The billionaire is 7/2 with Betway to buy an NFL Franchise next and it could well be something that Musk looks into doing next in his business career.
According to reports from Forbes the average cost to buy an NFL team would be $3.5b, so with Musk’s current net worth sitting at around $146b he could afford to buy every single NFL Franchise and still have change left over.
Elon Musk's Next Company Purchased | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Any NFL Franchise | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Any Premier League club | 9/2 | 18.2% |
Amazon | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Apple | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Disney | 14/1 | 6.7% |
It's 9/2 that Musk buys a Premier League club next with the businessman potentially looking for English investment
It’s 9/2 that Elon Musk buys a Premier League club as his next investment choice and it’s something that he has flirted with in the past on Twitter.
Back in August this year, Musk tweeted that he was buying Manchester United but since stated that he was just joking.
After one Twitter user asked if he was being serious Musk tweeted it was a long running joke and that he wouldn’t be buying any sports clubs.
It may well be that he goes back on that though and decides to takeover a Premier League club as his next venture.
