Betting odds of 5/1 given that Bitcoin hits a value of $100,000 at some point in 2024

Bookmakers are now offering odds on Bitcoin value in the next 12 months as the cryptocurrency continues to rise month-by-month.

Bitcoin's highest ever price remains at $68,789, which it hit back in November 2021, and it would need a massive year to eclipse that.

The latest betting odds now sit at 5/1 for Bitcoin to reach a value of $100,000 at some point in 2024 as the coin hits a 45% rise in the past 6 months.

The US has now allowed Bitcoin to be part of the mainstream investing funds allowing it to become a part of their exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

This could well see the coin rise further and further in the next 12 months and the betting odds suggest a 16% chance it hits that $100,000 figure.

The cryptocurrency currently sits at just over $42,000 as of 14th January 2024

Bitcoin currently sits at $42,861,50 as of Sunday 14 January 2024 and that means that the cryptocurrency has risen by nearly $20,000 in the last 6 months.

The coin has been extremely volatile in the past few years with an all-time high of nearly $70,000 back in November 2021 followed by a massive fall down to $16,000 in 2022.

2023 has seen a steady rise on a month-by-month basis for Bitcoin and we're now seeing it sat at $42,000 after the ETF was approved.
