Miley Cyrus is 6/4 favourite to replace Katy Perry as judge on American Idol
Betting remains available on who will replace the departing Katy Perry as a judge on the popular singing contest American Idol with massive names now topping the market.
OLBG reported back in May that Jennifer Lopez was the favourite with betting sites to make a shock return as a judge on the show but she has since drifted massively in the market.
It's Miley Cyrus who is now the 6/4 favourite to become a judge on the famous show with the singer previously being a coach on rival show The Voice for two seasons in 2016 and 2017.
Current Idol judge Luke Bryan, 47, told Billboard that Cyrus "has been in the talks" alongside Pink and Meghan Trainor to appear alongside him on the panel next season.
Now the latest odds say there's a 40% chance that Cyrus is a judge on American Idol with bookies putting her clear at the top of the market above Trainor.
Former favourite Jennifer Lopez has drifted out to 8/1 to make a return to the show with her name not in the running according to those latest reports.

Perry stepped down from judging role after six years and seven seasons on the show
Katy Perry left American Idol after seven seasons as a judge with her intentions now to release new music and tour around America, taking her daughter with her.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel back in February, Perry said, "“Well, you know, this fall, this September, I’m going to be doing this huge music festival in Brazil called Rock in Rio. It’s really exciting. It’s a big deal for people all over the world, especially my Brazilian fans,” Perry said, adding, “So I think this will probably be my last season for Idol.”
That announcement was completely out of the blue but ultimately it's now led to bookies putting up a full market around who will replace her on the show.

Meghan Trainor has said previously that it is a dream job for her
Meghan Trainor basically issued a come and get me plea to Idol producers in an interview with Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen last month.
"I’ve done every interview in the world and said that that is my dream job, and I have emailed three awesome people who work in that world who don’t really have the final say but I have begged for this job. It’s my favourite show — I’ve watched it since I was a child.”
The latest betting odds put Trainor just behind Cyrus in the betting market with the odds giving an implied probability of 33% that she gets the role that she's dreamed of.
