Aston Villa are the betting favourites to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this Summer
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is 3/1 to join Aston Villa this Summer with the midfielder still yet to secure a starting position at the club.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is going into his final 12 months of his Liverpool contract with the club not looking likely to offer him a new deal.
Bookmakers give a whole host of potential clubs that 'The Ox' moves to next, with Villa leading the way.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Next Club | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Aston Villa | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Manchester United | 7/2 | 22.2% |
West Ham | 4/1 | 20.0% |
Leicester | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Oxlade-Chamberlain just announced his engagement to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards and she could be involved in her partner's destination next.
Edwards, who hails from the North-East, may want her partner to head up there with Newcastle 10/1 to be the Ox's next club.
Manchester United are second favourites at 7/2 in what would be a shock move
Manchester United are well in the market for a midfielder this Summer with the Christian Eriksen saga still ongoing.
If that transfer wasn't to happen then Oxlade-Chamberlain could well be a target for Erik ten Hag to strengthen his midfield.
Reports from TalkSport suggested that a £10m move for the midfielder was on the cards, with the Old Trafford club interested in him.
It'd take a lot for a player to move from Liverpool to Manchester United though and vice versa so it's unlikely a deal would happen.
Oxlade-Chamberlain only started 9 Premier League games for Liverpool last season
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain contributed for Liverpool last season with three goals and two assists in 29 appearances in all competitions.
Only 9 of those 29 appearances were starts in the Premier League though, suggesting that the Ox was more of a bit part player for the club.
Liverpool's transfer business was suggested to be over last week following the signings of Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay.
This may well mean that there are no further outgoings at the club either after Sadio Mane left to join Bayern Munich.
