Anyone doing eSports betting?

Postby DanishMafia » Sun Jan 01, 2017 9:22 pm

Hey guys,

Is anyone here doing any eSports betting? I'm probably way behind (or maybe not since there were was no thread about it :P), but I never heard of this until today until I came across this article on facebook.

I have played both Dota and CS:GO for more than 10 years and consider myself fairly skilled in the games, as well as quite knowledgeable when it comes to the professional teams and the eSport scene in general, so betting on this sounds very, very interesting to me. I was more or less just wondering if anyone here has any experience with this and could give me some advice? I guess I could just follow the information in the article, but I'd much rather prefer someone else's personal experience.

If anyone here have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm interested in basically anything from the most preferred site to if there's any specific markets to look out for etc. Well you know, any way that I could beat the bookie and make a nice profit :P

Thank you in advance.

Fanobet specializes in bets on eSports and there you can find the largest ammount of bets avaialble on: LoL, DOTA, CS, Hearthstone, Smite, Overwatch and more. The biggest database avaialble for statistics is on esportlivescore.com which is also the best site for keeping an eye on the results of eSports matches.

Betting on the underdog in the lower level CSGO games especially BO1 matches can be very rewarding. In a BO1 match it could all come down to the map and who wins the knife round to decide who will start CT and T side. Also look for information on players Twitter or the CSGO betting Reddit or streams because sometimes key players can be missing for online games due to other commitments and that would mean the team has to use a stand in who doesn't know the tactics of the team and this can unsettle them.

A lot of the time the odds will be ridiculously good for some teams just make sure you check every market / map there is always value somewhere.

I've had great success in call of duty tournaments but I follow every aspect roster changes / online scrims / past games and watch hours and hours of past games.

Some teams play better on certain maps regardless of game, find out what these are so when they play a 'better team' on that certain map you will be rewarded with more then decent odds.

They tend to focus less on this when choosing the odds and just how good a team is

As a big fan of CSGO I must have watched 10k hours plus just on lower tier teams. Personally I find these really rewarding to bet on as form isn't quite as important here in my opinion and a full knowledge of the teams instead is. I.E playstyles may mean one team is more likely to beat X than Y. With most tier 1 games being Best of 2's now it is a good idea to consider map carefully (going off map alone can sometimes yield high odds results) One little tip I personally use for tier 1 "upsets" is that if the team that upset haven't decreased in form regardless how the other team looks take the team that won last time (only for tier 1 I would advise this with best of 1's especially) HLTV.org is the mainstay for CSGO scores etc (not a fan of esportslivescores.com used to work there and a lot of the time there are mistakes just because it's so demanding) and I personally feel there is not a best place to bet. While Fanobet has a lot of games I don't feel like they keep things updated well (they have the same owner as Esportslivescores.com) and I prefer to mix it up. Nordicbet have some interesting markets I.E Under Over player kills which gets interesting. But personally you're best of with good ol' bet365. GL and HF in your endeavours If you do decide to bet :)

eSports is available to be tipped on in the olbg tipping comps. https://www.olbg.com/tables/prizes.php

This tipster does well: bigmalky71 https://www.olbg.com/tipster/about.php?id=115051

There is a monthly prize fund of £50 which would grow if tipsters started competing, so if there are any eSports experts out there please let them know.

On olbg.com we do not have an esports blogger and are looking for one, if anyone feels confident enough to add tournament previews/advice then please do contact us.

Yeah i do a lot of those in BTC casinos and one can say that it is really fun to do at this point in time. Aside from sports betting, i can even play casino games at the same time and that is very fun and easy to do while waiting the games to finish up at the very least.

I bet on eSport only on big tournaments like international for dota 2 game or cs go major. Only with this big tournaments i can be sure that there are no fake matches on such lan events.
