TUESDAY
An absolute monster gamble going on in the first at Wetherby tomorrow
140
JUST DOTTIE
9S /8S /7S/ 6S /9/2/100/30
Simply cannot see why. An ex flat horse who wasnt great. Had a run in a bumper (went off 50/1). 200/1/50/1 and 50/1 for the last 3 starts over hurdles (twice finished 5th btn 16.5l and 9l but UR here). The handicap mark looks very harsh (94)is dropping in class but others look better in here at the weights
Very odd betting back out to 14/1 now?

Re: Horse Racing Discussion for March
TUESDAY BETS
WETHERBY
140
CAPTAIN JACK 10/1 (EW) - Until his last race at Newbury (class 4) this horse had been running well enough albeit as a lower level (even a seller). However he has managed to drop 12lb to a mark of 92 which could be workable given his form and the fact he drops back into a Class 5 (and possibly easier race) bodes well for him returning to form again. Although yet to win in 19 goes and not really at his best on soft there is optimism in a race like this he may place

Re: Horse Racing Discussion for March
I have dipped my toes in the water with a massive each way play today, if they come off, pay out in six figures before the decimal point.
Wetherby 2.15 NAVIGATE WEST Westerner sired who could be capable of producing something with soft ground possibly serving this horse well.40/1
Finished well beaten third, hurdled well enough but not in the class of the first two.
Wetherby 3.25 GUIRI Ben Haslam charge having first run for him since leaving Ireland, could go well.80/1
Well beaten reason for being 80/1 no good.
Wetherby 4.00 ALFA MIX another J P McManus horse that has come from Ireland to Ben Haslam, who I remember achieving a massive price double the other year. 40/1
Pulled up
Clonmel 3.40 CAHIRMEE bottom weight could be making this pay 9/1
Fell early on
How about them for a lucky 15 each way

Thought this was wishful thinking, would put the lot out to grass

Not sure if regular forum users have seen this. It might be legit, but it might not be. Hopefully someone will respond soon on the thread below.

It is true Shrews
All the forum pages will be transferring to Discord set up, I am not sure of the status of Discord, what I believe is OLBG will be sending invitations to all members, when they have set the link in for all to join.
This is all due to what happen last year with the site being hacked, security looks stronger with this move, tipping pages stay the same, all be happening at the end of the month.

Re: Horse Racing Discussion for March
Casino55 hope we can find each other on Discord, I am a bit sceptic, I have downloaded the set up, confused with what to do, see how OLBG can bring this to the table.
Like you, have had some great times with discussion and other forum pages, shame they have to change things, like everything else things move on.
Another 30 or 40 years things may of moved on even more, with no horse racing as we know it. Instead every day, be a few times a week with weekend being the key action.
Cartoon racing maybe more on show with bookies trying to get every ounce out of punters, they may be paying out on the slots with penny or three pence returns when the penny no longer around.
With everything costing 10p plus over the pound with nothing at 99p any more. Doing away with the small coins of penny two pence and five pence.
At present time, we have to learn new things, hope this Discord set up will be easy to use, as I will be lost without having the discussion page along with the one a day to be figuring with. At least the tipping pages stay the same.

Hi Casino 55 and Meoldmate.
I haven't decided if I'm going to go on Discord.
Not great with tech
I only post on here occasionally, but it is a friendly and informative forum which I enjoy.
If anyone could pass on a few tips regarding Discord that would be very much appreciated.
There are some very knowledgeable posters on here and hopefully I can continue to contribute in some way.
Best wishes to all

Re: Horse Racing Discussion for March
SAINT-CLOUD TODAY
Is Newmarket trainer Amy Murphy the first British trainer to have a two year old winner this season? I'm not sure but she got off the mark with her first juvenile runner today when MYCONIAN landed a decent prize over 4.5 furlongs with Mickael Barzalona on board.
It looks like the sire and damsire had a big say in this. MAGNA GRECIA was top class at two as was CHOISIR.
I tend to go on about the dams and this dam was beaten a head on her racecourse debut in March at two and won her next two races.
Put them all together and MYCONIAN looked a decent bet.
A pity I did not see any of this until after the race.
I intend to concentrate on two year olds this season and look at pedigree pointers and hopefully find a few more which fall into place like the above.

Desijo/Meoldmate and anyone else that isnt sure
Now I was sceptical at first about going to Discord. Im useless with technology lol. However depending on what you use its easy enough to download. For me its a laptop (i know most nowadays use phones etc id have no chance
). Honestly it is very simple to do. As Shrews or Zipster said keep your username probably best to alter password. You dont need to go go elsewhere on Discord as long as you click on the link that was put up. On mine now when I go onto Discord the OLBG is on the left and I just click on it. I will use this until such times as we need to go there. If youre unsure send me a dm ill try and help
