Types Of Horse Racing Bet

Postby monkeytennis » Mon Feb 03, 2014 10:59 am

Picking one winner is hard enough so the more you choose, the more likely you are to lose when it comes to multiple bets. Do you agree with this statement or can multiple bets really pay on horse racing? Which are the best multiple bets?

Novice punters should beware the multiple bets. Although the payouts can be huge for 4 winners on a Lucky 15, one loser more than halves your bet.
ie 4 singles 6 doubles 4 trebles 1 acc = 15 bets on 4 selections. Now take one loser and all you got left is 3 singles 3 doubles and a treble = 7 bets. 2 losers leaves 3 bets.....
From my days in the office we loved the lucky bets and accas; the hardest clients to beat were the singles only players generally bigger staking with some degree of knowledge. My personal preference is singles and doubles only.

Maybe try look into place betting, although the odds are much shorter. You won\'t be wasting money on the e/w part of your bet. If it places the bet is classed as a win, where as it won\'t show up as that on an e/w bet, as the bet has only partially won. Check online betting companies such as Bet Victor, or tote who offer place betting markets, as you can then do all of the above type of multiple bets too. Technically if you then target 8-10 runner races with 3 places up for grabs, your then giving yourself x3 the chance of achieving a wining bet. You should also be able to combine a win single with a place single and make a double that way, say for example you have a shorter priced favourite and a longer priced horse that you think has good chance of placing. Bet Victor who I'm with allow these types of bets.
Hope this helps.

Yes, I agree with your statement. There are different types of horse betting like Yankee, Lucky 15, Patent, Trixie, Lucky 31, Heinz, Canadian, Super Heinz and Goliath. Each bet has its own role and advantage in horse betting but I think Lucky 15 is the best multiple bets.
