Is now the right time to back Annie Power NRNB for this race? If she turns up, she'll go off short priced favourite again.... :?

Would she really go off as fav though?

She hasn't run for 311 days

Tough task trying to win a World Hurdle off that sort of break

Yeah of course she can win the Mares Hurdle but I doubt she can win the World Hurdle myself off that sort of break

I am less concerned about the break, more ao how fresh and buzzy she would be in the prelims and first 1/2 mile of race. She didn\'t settle at all well last year and I think that cost her the chance of winning. Very realistic that she will be too fresh 1st time out and may struggle to see out 3 miles.

On the contrary she may well have matured and relaxed in past 12 months and if so I think she would have a favourites chance.

I think she actually does stay the 3 mile trip.

She came right away from most of the field up the hill, but was just outstayed by More Of That. There's no harm in that at all and with that rival out she holds every chance on form.
That said fitness is another issue as the hill will take everything out of an unfit horse, so I doubt trainer or jockey would be advising three miles when they could hose up in the Mares. (For what it's worth I could easily see her hacking up in the mares then going to Aintree for the three miler).

I'm not really convinced that Zarkandar stays this trip. He was outstayed by Reve De Sivola off a mediocre pace having been travelling strongly. He didn't flourish in the World Hurdle or at Aintree last season and I don't put anything of interest in those French hurdles he's been racing in. Gemix isn't a particularly strong stayer and his proximity to Diakali and Le Grand Luce suggest stamin wasn't at a premium.

Whisper is my bet in this race. Won the three mile hurdle at Aintree last year from a fair few who'll be re opposing in this race and was given a decent return race over too short at Exeter when not really taking to chasing. Geraghty has reported him to be in great condition at home and I'm at loss to see a Grade 1 winning stayer at such a big price.

Anyone think Un Temps Pour Tout has a chance?

Main reason I'm bringing this up is in the build up to the world hurdle I've seen next to nothing been said about this horse. With it being 12/1 best price it is one of the principles in the market aswell which makes it even more surprising.

Personally wondering as I stuck it on before the Cleeve at 25/1. Wasn't too impressed with it then but it should come on a lot from that run and has a huge amount of potential. Whether it stays the trip is my main concern. IMO has a solid enough ew shout, but might have to stick my money elsewhere if I'm looking for the winner.

without More of that and Annie Power, this is the worst race of the festival or is it?

Ladbrokes were giving 40/1 un temps pour tout before the cleeve.

The talk is mainly that there are so many question marks about all the top horses.. and it seems the outsiders have a better chance..

I will be backing the 5 yr old Abbysial 40/1 nrnb because i can see it improving and Seeyouatmidnight 40/1 ew if ryan mania rides it.
