Re: Horse Racing Discussion Thread: Monday 25th June - Sunday 1st July

As an add on to Zipsters's post, favs have a decent record at Leicester, these are the current favs - although this could change.

Bosham3.5

Nayef Road1.8

Biotic4.5

Trogon3.75

Culdrose.5

Mutabaahy3.25

General Brook 6.0

Would expect 3 winners from the 7 races, going by the stats.

Re: Horse Racing Discussion Thread: Monday 25th June - Sunday 1st July

Its Carlisle's big day, and normally would focus on Fahey, O'meara, Johnston runners at track at their main meeting. I like Kalagia in the 5.00 for Johnstone but no price. O'Meara has these - I seem to remember seeing support for Mon Beau Visage - last time out - today 8/1 3.00 Carlisle Sultan Bayba...

Re: World Cup What Odds Paddy Bet

England not to score in the 1st half. We were fired up and everyone did their job very well against Tunisia, you need 11 players performing at the top of their game for 90 minutes, I am not sure we will be as good against a poorer team, its because they are poorer that we may take them more lightly....

Re: The VAR Affect on World Cup Betting - Share you thoughts

I am not sure any of us or the bookies fully realised the impact VAR would have on the World Cup, especially the increase in better behaviour from the players.

The interminable offside discussions by the pundits seem to have died down thanks to VAR, which is a relief to me.

Re: Royal Ascot Jockeys

I dont want to take the thread off course but the run yesterday of Lord Glitters (2nd) highlighted by Zipster relates to the Royal Hunt Cup today. Lord Glitters ran second in the Lincoln at Doncaster: Below are the 1st 5. 1st Addeybb 2nd Lord Glitters 3rd Mitchum Swagger 4th Gabrial 5th Repercussion...

Re: World Cup Betting Discussion - Russia 2018

Following on from Tommys World Cup stats: Mexico, Iran, Japan, Senegal were the 4 underdog value winners from game 1. 4 underdogs from 16 games = 25% Portugal, Iceland, Switzerland drawing in game 1 were also value. So the favs won 9 times from 16 = 56.25 % Will those favs who didnt win now be worth...

Re: Royal Ascot Track Bias Discussion - Is there an advantage?

At Ascot this week look for beaten horses who ran well on the unfavoured side of the track, in todays Hunt Cup for example if the first 3 come from high numbers and that side is favoured, look for runners from low numbers who ran well, there should be some future winners.

Re: World Cup Betting Discussion - Russia 2018

I think you would expect the overs to increase in games 2 and especially game 3, as teams desperately look to secure qualification to the round of 16. For example Morocco cannot lose again today.

Re: World Cup Daily Discussion - Tuesday 19th June

Egypt win, lose or draw look a bit big at 4.25 with <a href=http://olbg.info/77/L40/D/words target=_blank>Unibet</a>. Russia impressed against a very poor Saudi team, they should find Egypt a harder nut to crack, especially with Salah starting. If Egypt score first then you can get out of the bet in...

Re: World Cup Daily Discussion - Thursday 14th June

Agree KK, teams who have lost game 1 or lose game 1 take action to remedy the mistakes. Saudi Arabia will now be an even bigger price in their next game than their pre russia odds and will be looking for a much better showing. We are now talking about Russia being a decent team, so they will be shor...

Re: Asian corner bookies. Please advise

"Predicting a timescale for it to become commonplace is another matter." I think after the World Cup, we are going to see an expansion as the bookies start adding even more "niche" markets. These smaller markets can give the bookies bigger margins, you can see by the specials they have during this ...

Egypt 7/1 Draw 3/1 Uruguay 10/17

Morocco 39/29 Draw 21/10 Iran 3/1

Portugal 75/19 Draw 53/21 Spain 11/10

Betting margins are tight for the bookies, taking the best odds we are betting to around 101%. It doesn't need much of a variation in play for you to take advantage.
