7:30 Windsor Tips

Has a pretty consistent record as a three year old and was a close up 5th over 14f at Haydock two starts ago and then bettered that run when a close 2nd on his latest start over 11f at Goodwood. Races over a similar trip here from a 4lb higher mark and looks to have solid claims.

I'm not sure where Andrew Balding lies on the trainers' table, but his horses have been in such fantastic form all this season that it must be somewhere near the top. That good form can continue here with Lieber Power, who hit form in the middle of last summer, winning a Racing League race at Chepstow before finishing just a neck behind Night Breeze in this race. The pair meet again this evening with the Balding gelding 18 lbs better off in the weights. While he couldn't repeat last year's Chepstow win last week, he did run one of his best races of the season to finish third. He looks to be coming back to form again and could go a place better here.

Miller Spirit is in this race to move on to better races. I'm all in today, as on breeding, it can win this race easily.

Four runs this year for the 4yo, form 3210. Progressing nicely but not suited by the slow ground last time out. He was beaten just a short head three runs back. He followed that with a cozy 2L+ win with the front three pulling well clear of the rest, and the 2nd and 3rd have both given that form a nice boost since. Back on quicker ground for this one, and he can take another step forward.

Bounced back to winning form at Newmarket in July, but only managed to secure 5th place in a handicap 12 days ago. He has won here before, and his top performances from the last 2 seasons would put him in serious contention. With both trainer and jockey in fine form, an each-way bet at 18/1 looks like a great opportunity.

BURJ ZABEEL runs for a trainer fully adept at getting horses to bounce straight back from poor runs. This young Kingman-sired horse is already a distance winner on similar ground and his quick turnaround bodes well. Not fully exposed as a handicapper he could surprise.

Has won over a mile and 2 furlongs only. Today's distance is just slightly longer, but he was running on in his last race. Has the new yard come to grips with him yet? Running in better class races earlier in the year. Nice price!
