An improving, progressive sort that came back after a 9-month break to win at Ffos Las and was demoted to 2nd last time out when hanging left.

A James Fanshawe trained 3-year-old who has had 8 races on the flat, winning twice and has finished 3rd twice. His 2 wins came in May/June this year, both over 7f at Leicester on good to soft going and Lingfield on good going. He is in a class 5 handicap over 7f on good to soft going and has Billy Loughnane in the saddle. He finished 2nd of 8 runners last time out at Kempton on the a/w in a class 5 handicap over 7f when made joint favorite, beaten a neck. Has a decent e/w shout in this race today.

After a commendable 2nd place in the previous outing, it was a letdown to see him falter last week. Nevertheless, he is a distance winner that performs admirably on soft ground, making him a promising candidate for an each-way bet at 12/1.

Call Me Betty has made steady progress in each of her runs. She won a maiden at Wolverhampton in June after finishing second here the race before. She showed more improvement last time with a good second at Ayr when keeping on. She seems suited by this seven furlongs, and if continuing to improve, she could certainly be involved in the finish here today.

Have a feeling there will be a great deal of pace in this race, and any pace collapse will most likely suit Miss Yorkshire the most. She has a great chance here, and it's good to see some money in the market with a few powerful yards involved.

Highfield Sunshine has been knocking on the door this season, but it hasn't been opened yet. Hopefully, today is the day someone answers. She has four places from her six races this season, including a second here at Thirsk in a Class 4 in her season's opener and is a pound lighter today. She finished 3rd last time out in a blanket finish. Jason Hart is her regular jockey, and her best performances have been on good ground.

Draupnir is an improver, albeit at a low level. His best effort came on his latest outing with a third placing at Salisbury over one mile. Ahead at today's distance after trying to make all the running, the drop down in trip and sharper track can suit. Similar going today, good to soft, appears to suit. Draupnir is three pounds better off with today's rival Mamma Mia, disqualified after finishing first in that Salisbury race. Draupnir is lightly raced and improvement is expected. He is out of a useful winning mare and half-brother to five winners, all of whom have recorded a higher level of form. Both his stable and his jockey had winners yesterday.

Urban Sky has been lightly raced, and after disappointing for Richard Fahey, he has switched stables. If able to reproduce his run when 2nd at Leicester, he may cause a surprise on testing going, which should suit.
