Sub Thirteen has been there or thereabouts of late and finished the flat season in pretty good form, so I don't think he's a total lost cause here. Stable in good form; the handicap mark looks favourable and he's not been drawn out of it either. He steps up in trip here, but I don't think that should be a problem and he has each-way claims.

A bit of a punt this one, as Pickering Castle is a 10-race maiden. He does, however, drop into a Class 6 for the very first time, and Luke Morris is booked to ride him for the third time, having partnered him to arguably his two best results to date: a 2nd and a 3rd. He has placed on Tapeta before, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue and is off a career-low mark, having been dropped another 3 lb. Clover Time should make the running and give the slow-starting selection a good pace to aim at. Worth a dabble at the price, in my very humble opinion.

Dapperling changed yards in Nov to Scott Dixon and has been just out of the money for three runs, but has dropped to a 62, which I think puts her in with a chance with Kieran O'Neill in the saddle. He seems to be doing well when riding for Scott of late. EW
