Watchdog failed to stay last time when upped in trip but showed enough speed early to suggest a return to 6f could suit much better. He's still lightly raced, and if allowed to travel more comfortably at this trip, there's a fair chance he gets back on track.

This two-year-old filly comes into the race off a solid level of experience, having run well in a Class 5 nursery in October. That run was off a 3 lb higher mark, which confirms she is highly competitive at this Class 6 level. She holds an Official Rating (OR) of 59, a mark she has proven she can compete off. I've tipped this filly a few times and she's stayed in my tracker since Bass had the ride when she finished 3rd at 50/1 at Lingfield. That was off a mark of 65, so I'm hoping Bass can do the business off a 6 lb lower mark. Track & Trip The 7f trip on the Southwell Tapeta is the key for this Nursery Handicap, and this will be her debut run at the track. However, she has proven her ability on other all-weather surfaces, including a placing at Chelmsford. She has experience over this exact distance, which should help her adapt quickly to the Southwell environment. She is drawn handily in stall 2, which should allow her jockey, George Bass, to get her into a competitive position early.
