Embarked is a 4-year-old gelding from the Scott Dixon yard and lines up here off an official mark of 46, with Joey Haynes taking the ride. He’s been running consistently enough at Southwell in recent starts, and his latest effort here showed a bit more spark ??' travelling well through the middle part of the race before just flattening out close home. He’s shown before that he handles the Tapeta perfectly fine, and this trip looks about right for him. Off 46 he’s weighted to be competitive, and Haynes knows how to ride these Dixon sprinters around Southwell, often getting them into a good rhythm early. If Embarked can break cleanly and get a handy position, he’s an each-way player at this level, and a repeat of his recent effort would put him right in the mix.
