He's also finished 2nd on his only previous run over C&D, which was off the same mark, so this all points to the 14/1 being great value. The winner in that C&D race where he was 2nd has since run so well that he's now rated around 10lb higher, so that horse was a handicap snip on the day. His only runs in this class recently were that 2nd and then a win, so this is clearly his level and he should go close.

The lesser fancied of two Ruth Carr trained runners in this Class 4 sprint. Out of form but Reigning Profit's record over course and distance is 11211. Weak in a Class 3 over 6 furlongs on soft ground here last time. Now drops back to five furlongs, runs off last winning mark of 81, wants good ground, visor back on. Hard to rule out and looks a silly price considering his record over course and distance. 6yo by Profitable has won nine of 65 career starts.
