Very mediocre form last year to start his career with three runs as a 2yo. But after being gelded back in January, he won his first handicap off a rating of just 49. He's now relatively thrown in off just 54 in a Class 6 race. Trainer Ben Haslam doesn't have as many runners as he once did, but when he does it's worth noting. Bearing in mind LIQUID COOLED had been off the track for three months, he was obviously a bit rusty but still managed to win going away in the end. I fully expect him to follow up today at attractive-looking odds.

Joanna Mason takes the reins again on Trucial Pearl for the Easterbys and looks close to winning form. She got down a little in the stalls when they jumped and was awkwardly away last time out before gathering nice ground for third on the all??'weather surface. This isn't an overly strong field and looks to suit nicely. I feel TP has a decent chance of breaking through for a deserved maiden win here.
