That form was franked with the runner-up winning next time out. He ran a mighty race off a huge weight on his most recent run, beaten just 3/4 length by the winner Couldbeaweapon, back in 2nd place. No idea what the books are doing with some of their pricing at Perth and this is another that they are taking a real risk on. He was well backed on his return last month, but lost all chance when making a bad mistake midway through the race. On his final start last season, he looked a winner in waiting and I like to think he will enjoy the slower tempo over 3m and get his jumping together.
