I believe the closest rival to this horse will be course specialist King Roly with James Bowen on board, but after six months off he may struggle to keep up with Barlovento.

Its Hard To Know is a 3-time winner, and although only 4th on handicap chase debut over this distance at Aintree in December last year, perhaps needed the run, returning after a 9-month break.

Took well to chasing, including having two course-and-distance wins. Would have been a banker EW bet if three places. That said, hasn't been out of the first two in five visits to the course.

The powerful Scottish yard of Russell/Scudamore have been busy recently, what with the Scottish National meeting at Ayr last week and Kelso yesterday (Mon).
