Winner on good ground on penultimate outing at Haydock and only denied the double by a nose when staying on soft ground at Doncaster last time out. Raised another pound in the weights for that last effort but looks the one to beat here from a favorable high draw and representing the Jim Goldie stable that has a fine record here at Musselburgh.

A former course and distance winner who comes here on the back of a decent win at Southwell 10 days ago.

Winner at Thirsk in July. Solid efforts in a couple of starts thereafter until below par at Beverley last time but has been dropped 2lb for that so would be no surprise to see her bounce back this afternoon.

Jim Goldie is a wily old fox, and he has his string in good form, so he is getting them all out. He has 4 in this race, and I like Classy Al on balance, partly because he is the big price. He has won 3 times this year, and while his rating has edged up, he is still only 2 lbs above his last winning mark. He is normally put away around this time of year, but Jim has given him a break and is getting him rolling again. He must think there's more to be had in the short term.
