Simply Blue is on a mark of 64, which looks fair today, and comes here after a below-par run when beaten five lengths at Chester. He is in stall 8, which is tricky, but Hollie Doyle rides, and the yard is in form. Effective between 5f and 7f, he usually tracks the pace. He does need a revival, but being slightly backed here, he does have every chance if bouncing back.

Roaring Ralph has had a break and tries Lingfield for the first time, now dropping in class with Fallon riding, who is in tremendous form himself. Looks a good opportunity to get on track again.

Havechatma ran to current form when fourth, beaten two lengths off 58 over five furlongs at Windsor last time. He is effective over five to six furlongs, so has a great chance here. R Havlin rides for D K Ivory, and stall 5 suits a prominent run. Each-way chance with his form holding and a competitive mark for this trip, in my opinion.

Clover Time is a 3-year-old gelding trained by Michael Appleby, sired by Havana Grey. He hasn't been in the greatest of form but has dropped some 14 lbs in recent starts and makes his AW debut, which should suit with the sire responsible for 123 AW winners. First-time cheekpieces are also called upon, and Appleby is 10/105 wins and 33/105 placed with 3-year-olds when he does, showing a healthy LSP. Another with a fair chance under Ray Dawson.

Reporter has had only one win from 14 runs so far. That was on turf at Windsor in June. However, he has placed three times on the All Weather and looks overpriced based on his previous form.
