Hasn't won for a while, but has slipped down the weights as a result and ran well here and at Kempton in recent times. Very disappointing short-priced favourite last time, so needs to bounce back. It would be no surprise to see him do so off this career-low mark.

Solar Edge was very unlucky not to win last time out, beaten a neck and only gone up 2 lbs for that run. Could turn out to be lenient. A step forward from that and it should be winning.

Best recent runs have been at Southwell, which is surprising as he doesn't look well suited to fibresand. He ran here in November and came fourth on this mark, but had to make up ground from a poor draw and didn't finish too far away. Decent draw this time around.

Yet to get off the mark for this yard but has come close on several occasions in much stronger races than this. Conditions here are much more optimal than recent blips. Jason Hart on board, plus first-time headgear and a lot of pace to aim at, mean a much better run may be coming today. Looks great value at double digits.

Hold-up DIAMOND DREAMER probably wasn't suited to stall one at Chelmsford the last twice, or the six-furlong trip either, so the return to five furlongs in this grade looks positive for this one's chances. I think he will probably bounce back sooner rather than later, and he's been a dependable follow for a stable that usually delivers in this type of race.
