Ran much better on his second start back from a six-month break when a respectable 4th of 10 in a 2m1f handicap at Kempton last month. Has room for improvement in his jumping, but this longer trip might help in that regard. If it does, he should make the frame at least.

This horse is friendless in the market but looks like the clear each-way value to me. The horse is a C&D winner on heavy ground, and that proven stamina is crucial here since many of these won't last in this ground over this extreme trip. The jockey switch is a major plus for me too, and the trainer's runners have been going better in the last week or so. Looks on a winnable mark and holds a major chance.

Unexposed 6yo mare, just two starts over hurdles. Beaten just 2L and 4L in a novice hurdle and a maiden hurdle, and she wouldn’t have been given a hard time. Decent opening handicap mark today, and this ex-PTP runner should be better suited by this longer trip.

Does lack a recent run, but did win over C/D when reverting to hurdles on final start of last season and we know they handle soft/heavy ground very well. Retains a decent mark of 102 here, has plenty of stamina so should be staying on when others have had enough, good jockey who has won on selection back up and shrewd trainer best with his hurdlers here last 5 seasons, making current 16/1 solid Ew value in the race.

This looks an easier task than he has faced in some time. Fitness has to be taken on trust, but the stable is in fine form, and he looks a big price on his best form.
