Imperial Measure ran on well into a closing 3rd place at the finish over two miles five furlongs at Newton Abbot to suggest he might be a staying chaser in the making and could get his first chase win going up in distance to nearly three miles.

Roe & Co is a threat, but there isn't a lot of chasing pedigree in his breeding to get excited about. The selection is 7lb better off than when losing by 9 lengths to the Rees horse. A good 3rd in his only chase here back in April, the good ground will be appreciated and can get off the mark here.

Has been found a very weak race for his chase debut under rules. Won a point in Ireland in November 2023. The runner-up is now rated north of 130, so it gives hope that this gelding's opening mark of 98 will be workable. Didn't show much in three starts in maiden hurdles for that mark, but chasing can see him in a different light.
