Handicapper has left his mark untouched following a solid effort on chase debut/seasonal reappearance last time out. He was sent off the 33/1 rank outsider of the 5 runners in what looked to be a competitive beginners chase. He finished an honourable 3rd behind Wade Out and Wendigo, beaten 12 lengths by the winner. That form has obviously been franked by the winner, who was a 2-point winner for the column at Cheltenham on Friday. He won a competitive listed chase. He drops back a furlong in trip this time, with Harry Skelton taking over in the saddle. He won his maiden over hurdles at this track, over a very similar trip to this (1/2 furlong shorter), beating a fair horse in Sorceleur by 2 lengths. The aforementioned came out and won his next 2 runs. He finished 3rd in a Grade 2 next time out, a well-beaten 3rd albeit, beaten 28 lengths by the winner Bill Joyce. He had the likes of Kingston Pride and Balkytechno pulled up in behind. Both those mentioned are useful horses in their own right.
