Only 1-22 but has been running fairly consistently since joining George Baker from Richard Hannon. Ran well a couple of times over course and distance in July. A bit below par last time but has slipped to a career-low mark off which he should be capable of striking.

Ex Irish trained 4yo, 1 win from 9, some decent runs in defeat. Four UK runs. Excuses on fast ground last time out and will come here fresh after a 2 month break. He wasn’t beaten far in his previous start, staying on well after a slow start on slow ground, but it was a stronger handicap than this contest and he’s effectively 11lb lower now with a good apprentice in the saddle. Plenty of questions against these 11 rivals.

This is one of only 2 c&d winners in the field and she looks to hold every chance here now that she's slipped to her last winning mark. C&D form counts more here than virtually anywhere else and the proven ability to handle the track suggests that she has to be a play in the e/w market at 33/1. The 2nd on heavy at Salisbury makes me think that any further rain would improve her chances (and count against many of her rivals) so despite there being no interest in the early market, the money might come along at the same time as the rain.
