Kinswoman finally broke her maiden tag at Windsor last time out, albeit when 1-5 in a four-horse five-furlong sprint. She had been placed in her previous four races, and her current mark of 75 looks fair. She has the plum draw in stall 1 for holding the inside rail throughout at Chester.

Running style means he is something of a hostage to fortune, as shown in 2 of his last 3 runs. Placed off this mark at York last time and comes here with an excellent 5lb claimer on top, so he has a decent chance on the numbers. It's just a matter of getting the breaks at a tricky course here.

Unlucky chasing a 4-timer last time, almost coming down as the stalls opened and beaten less than a length in the end. So he looks well-weighted here from just a pound higher and arguably a jockey upgrade who claims 3lb, so a net 2lb lower than LTO. He is up in grade though and doesn't have the best of draws, but he is a come-from-behind performer and the expected frantic pace here will suit. Decent EW chance.

He was a tidy winner over 5f at Musselburgh last time out, traveling prominently and put to bed a decent Class 4 race in the final furlong. He returns here off 77 with Ben Robinson again booked to run a big race. He gets an advantageous stall 3, exactly the sort of inside berth that so often decides sprints here. Has a 66% win rate at Class 4 races, price looks good.

Distance winner. Should strip fresh after a layoff. Exerted himself too early last time out. Has a great draw today.
