Won at Musselburgh in May at a big price, a fair run at Chester last time out but this one is easier and has been very well supported.

Son of Kodiac, who hasn't lived up to the promise of a Windsor novice victory, ran well on belated reappearance off this career low mark at Salisbury in June. Below par at Sandown last time, so needs to bounce back, but it would be no surprise to see him do so on this drop back into class 5.

I do have to take a shot here. Mister McGregor is in stall 4 for Melvyn Mullineaux with John Egan on board and has 11 runs with no wins but 3 places, giving him a 27% place rate. He runs off 62, which looks okay for a maiden as he is still searching for a breakthrough win, and he has hinted at ability with placed efforts over 6 and 7f. His latest effort at Thirsk over 6f saw him outpaced, but he ran as though this 7f will suit better, and the hood may help him settle. The draw is fine, and if he can travel more sweetly, he could be a great each-way chance in a race of this nature and at a price.
