BOLLIN NEIL boasts an impressive record in these low-class handicaps. His form figures for his last 6 starts read 210211. His three wins in that sequence have all come at this track, including a course and distance win two starts back. He was dropped back in trip to 1m6f last time and showed a good turn of foot off a steady pace having made all. That’s his preferred mode of racing, and he is likely going to be allowed to lead again today. That makes him very tough to oppose, especially with the step back up to two miles further enhancing his chances. His previous three wins have come off marks of 47, 52, and 56 respectively, with the jockey taking off 8lbs last time out. He races off 59 today with David Allan back on board. At 9 years of age, he is by no means improving, but he is clearly in fine form, and this is a weak-looking Class 6 handicap. He has obvious claims and should take all the beating. NAP!

Second place finishes at Huntingdon and Pontefract and a recent third at Hexham make for decent reading on the latest form. The last win ironically came in this race last year when clear by a good five lengths and is only 5 lbs higher this time around.

Cold Henry looks to have a great chance at these weights. It's a race of a few chances, but I do think that Cold Henry stands out on form.

The 9yo is capable on his day. Only beaten a length earlier in the month and is in good shape. His only previous run on soft ground this year resulted in a win during June and he’s effectively 6lb better off now with a good apprentice in the saddle. He’s worth an EW shout in this very weak looking handicap.

Ebony Maw is a course and distance winner with solid soft ground credentials and proven stamina. Below best recently but returns to ideal conditions. Capable of bouncing back if allowed to dictate.

Race 5 at Catterick today is a Handicap (Class 6) over 3,190 m Flat Race for 3 y.o. and upwards with the reported going as Soft. The suggested wager is for the each way on the 4yo filly Inspire Hope from the Rebecca Menzies yard and will be ridden by Kaiya Fraser. This daughter of Camelot was going along in the right direction when sent on a rest. Her return from the rest was below par; however, it was run in very heavy going and she did finish 5th. Back on soft going today should see her challenging for top honours in this field. Don't ignore.
