Should be fine with this stiff 7f as she stays a mile. Ran especially well the last two times. In fact, unlucky last time, meeting trouble in running on more than one occasion. Comes here from the same mark. Worth backing here.

Up to Carlisle near 7f with its stiff uphill finish, which should suit after a solid 4th over 6f (good to firm) last time. A first-time hood should focus her, plus a 5lb claim (Elle-May Croot in the saddle) can eke out an extra finish. There's no stall bias at 7f+, so stall 4 should be fine on today's good to firm ground.

This is one of the least exposed horses in the field and looks great value after having led until the final 2 furlongs on seasonal debut last time out. The furlong less here will suit, and the horse's improved fitness after that run would suggest he might not be caught this time. The stable's promising 5lb claiming apprentice is good value for his claim and is doing well for the yard, who tend to have higher-rated horses than this one. So perhaps the double-figure price is on the generous side.

Miss Cast is in stall 2 for trainer Tim Easterby with Cam Hardie on board and has 15 runs with wins and 1 place giving just a 7% place rate. She runs here off 46 which is a low mark but she has yet to prove she can take advantage of it, though the yard does well at this track and she has hinted and showwed me ability. Cheekpieces stay on and she drops back from Newcastle where she did not quite see things out. The draw is handy and she should sit close to the pace which gives her a squeak. More an each way outsider than a win player but not ruled out if things click today
