When the pair met last time out at Pontefract, they crossed the line together, but the market has shifted ??' and with the current odds difference, siding with Dabbling looks an even easier call. Last time, I said Cam Hardie would need to break sharply and get this filly into a handy mid-division spot, because over the sharp 5f trip it’s hard to come from too far back. That still holds true today. Dabbling, a game and genuine performer, has shown enough early speed in past runs to suggest she can hold a position and still finish strongly. She’s lightly raced, with more improvement likely to come, and her latest effort showed she can battle all the way to the line. If she can get the right early position from the gates, the combination of her consistent finishing kick, proven competitiveness against today’s rivals, and her attractive 16/1 price makes her a value play in what looks a winnable contest.

She's Got The Blues has yet to trouble the placings in two starts but drops back to Class 5 and returns to a familiar Beverley track. With experience gained and a favorable trip, she is likely to show notable improvement today.
