Much improved since joining current yard. Was narrowly defeated twice here in December and finished a close 3rd last month. Was poorly drawn last time and again drawn wide now, but this looks a poor race.

Alex Belardo is only 1lb higher after running a good race here a couple of weeks ago. Gets the trip, and further, and seems to be in form again.

Distillate was drawn wide (16) and was only ninth here last time out. Trainer in form, and top apprentice booked today. Each-way chance.

72 starts and only 3 wins, but there are signs that he can be competitive off a mark of 43. Excuses can be made for a couple of muddling runs when leading out too fast, then leaving it late in his previous race. Good young jockey Jimmy Dalton claims 7 lb and gets on well with this horse.

The 4-year-old competes well at the lower levels of handicap racing, but has had difficulty consistently finishing in the top spots during recent runs for Denis Hogan. His most recent performance resulted in an eighth-place finish here at Dundalk in January. Nevertheless, he has proven he can win, having triumphed in a Class 5 Novice Stakes at Kempton in August 2024. With a jockey's 7 lb claim and four places up for grabs, he could gain some ground and may be worth considering each-way at 18/1.

Thomas Dowling's 8 year old Gelding MULLACASH BUZZ is my pick in this competitive affair. This Son of WAR COMMAND returned from a 141 day sabbatical 21 days ago here @Dundalk over a trip that wouldn't have suited anyways but prior to that was a 3rd place finish on the beach @Laytown. 7f is this lads bread & butter with all his best form over this trip with a overall 43.48% place strike rate. Jockey Sadabh Tormey sheds a huge 10lbs off this already well treated lad who was already 5lbs lighter for his last win. Trainer Thomas Dowling has a 21.05% place strike rate here the past 5 years. Drawn in Stall #2 & currently trading at 14/1 odds & returning to his optimum trip. There is alot to like here & 'should' that pipe opener have done the trick then he would atleast have a punchers chance.

Pensioner of the race but still retains ability and ran okay when beaten under three lengths. Does look a bit of value to make the frame.

Can get amongst the four places on offer at a big price. Has dropped 9 lb since December and only run twice. The first of those followed a six-month break and he had only joined the stable a few days before. The second was over a furlong shorter than today. Blinkers are on for this, which can so often make a difference at this level.
