Bendigo Racetrack Guide
The Bendigo Racetrack is located in Ascot, Victoria and is around 150 kilometres north of Melbourne.
Bendigo is a left-handed turf track with a 1995 metre circumference, with a 400 metre (two furlongs) home straight.
There are two starting chutes, one for races run over 900 metres (4.5 furlongs), 1100 metres (5.5 furlongs) and 2000 metres (10 furlongs) and the other is for races run over 1600 metres (one mile). Races are run over a maximum distance of 2400 metres (12 furlongs).
There are around 25 race days per year at Bendigo with the feature races being Marong Cup and Elmore Cup in March and the Bendigo Cup with a $400,000 purse usually staged in late October or early November.
