Blackpool v Stevenage Tips

This is the first match of the new season, and I will back Blackpool to win as they have a good record against Stevenage, having won three matches in the last five against them.

Last season it ended 0-0 at Bloomfield Road and the last three meetings are one win each and a draw. Stevenage won away to the likes of Reading, Barnsley and Wrexham near the end of last season and I am backing they start the new campaign with a point away to Blackpool.

Under 2.5 goals. Both sides may prioritize defensive solidity, leading to a low-scoring, cautious game with limited scoring opportunities in this competitive fixture.

Blackpool did much better of these two last seasons, barely missing playoff games. With the visitors finishing mid-division, they could only manage a goalless draw here, though, but should edge this game.
