Leclerc is my race-winner pick because Monaco should suit Ferrari better than most 2026 tracks, with Sky noting that the tight layout and lack of long straights could help Ferrari challenge Mercedes. He has already won his home race before, and Monaco is exactly the type of circuit where one perfect qualifying lap can decide the whole weekend. Mercedes arrive in stronger overall form, especially with Kimi Antonelli winning four races in a row, but Monaco can reduce pure car-performance gaps. If Leclerc qualifies on the front row, I think Ferrari can control track position and win.

Leclerc is my first podium pick because he is also my predicted race winner. Ferrari’s biggest opportunity this season may come at Monaco, where mechanical grip, traction, confidence over kerbs, and qualifying precision matter more than straight-line efficiency. The key risk is Ferrari execution: strategy, pit timing, and traffic management have to be clean. Still, Leclerc at Monaco is one of the strongest driver-track combinations on the grid.

Antonelli has to be on the podium prediction because he is the form driver of 2026, coming into Monaco after four straight Grand Prix wins. Mercedes have been the benchmark team so far, and even if Monaco is less power-dependent, their race pace and tyre management should keep him in contention. The only concern is that Monaco punishes small errors more than any other track, especially for a young driver. If Antonelli qualifies in the top three, I expect him to convert that into another podium.

Norris is my third podium pick because McLaren should be competitive at Monaco, and he dominated the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix. McLaren had a poor Canadian GP with no points, but Monaco gives them a good bounce-back opportunity if their car works well in slow corners. Norris’ smooth driving style and tyre control are strong assets on a circuit where rhythm and precision matter more than overtaking. I prefer him over Hamilton or Russell for the final podium spot, mainly because of McLaren’s recent Monaco record.
